About our DNA Tests

Step 1
Place your order swiftly online or by telephone with one of our experienced customer service advisors who will be happy to assist with any questions you may have.
Step 2
As standard, a single bespoke sampling kit will be issued by post to the ordering party, or you can choose to pay a small fee for an additional sampling kit to a second address.
Step 3
A simple mouth swab is used to collect a DNA sample from the alleged father, child(ren), and mother if she is participating. Whilst the mother need not participate (except for any consent required for the child - see our FAQs), we strongly advise that she does so in order to obtain the most conclusive test result. Step 4
Easily return your samples to our laboratory for analysis using the provided pre-paid tamper proof envelope. Our team of highly skilled and qualified scientists adhere to strict laboratory requirements using state of the art DNA technology.
Step 5
The day we receive all properly consented samples is Day 0. Depending on which service you have requested, your results will be available on the 2nd working day for our standard service or next working day for our express service – this is usually after 4pm.
Step 6
Your results will be uploaded as a .pdf onto our secure website and you may access this with the login and password you will have made when ordering. You can also opt for a hard copy of the report by post to the Ordering Party's address.
Every one of us is unique. This uniqueness comes from our genetic code, which we have inherited equally from our biological mother and biological father. The thatDNAcompany® paternity test detects the presence of shared regions of this unique genetic code within 23 markers (for more information see our FAQs), which can in turn be used to determine if individuals are related.
This produces extremely accurate results which will either exclude the man from paternity with 100% certainty or will indicate a paternal relationship with a very high level of confidence - usually in excess of 99.99%.
